About

His Vision

Artist David Redmond is a lifelong observer of nature, transformation, and the quiet forces that shape life. His compassion for the natural world and the mystery within it has inspired him to create works that explore both the beauty and the deeper patterns of existence.

David works with a wide range of materials and mediums, including acrylic, oil, enamel, inks, wood ash, aged copper, driftwood, stone, metal shavings, burned wood, dyed rice paper, coal, silver solder, and even exploded copper, vapor explosion/steam casting. Through these elements he creates paintings and sculptures that blend abstraction and realism, often incorporating materials that carry their own story of transformation.

In addition to visual art, David also expresses his ideas through literature, poetry, photography, and film. His upcoming book, "Reset", reflects many of the themes found throughout his artwork — observation, awareness, and humanity’s relationship with nature and creation.

For David, art is a way of capturing moments of life that are often overlooked, the quiet beauty of the natural world, the cycles of growth and decay, and the sense that something greater moves through "all living things".

He believes that creation exists both around Us and "Within Us". Whether one sees this through evolution, consciousness, or the mystery of life itself, David feels that the impulse to create is something deeply rooted in the human spirit.

Some of his works intentionally incorporate destruction as part of the creative process. In nature, death and renewal exist side by side — a fallen tree gives rise to new ecosystems, and a caterpillar dissolves within its cocoon before emerging as a butterfly. Through these ideas, David reflects the same cycles of transformation found throughout the natural world.

David has been creating artwork for more than twenty-five years and observing the rhythms of life for nearly five decades. Only recently has he chosen to share his work publicly, believing that art — like nature itself — is meant to be experienced and shared.

Through his work, David hopes to encourage reflection, awareness, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty and interconnectedness of "Life".

Moving Forward

In sharing his work, David hopes to inspire others to slow down, observe the world around them, and rediscover the quiet beauty that exists in both nature and within ourselves.

A Quiet Invatation

Nature has always been my greatest teacher.

In the cycles of growth and decay, in the transformation of simple things into something unexpected, I’ve found a reflection of life itself.

My work is an exploration of those patterns — the beauty hidden in natural materials, the quiet rhythm of creation and renewal, and the awareness that emerges when we slow down long enough to "Observe".

Through art, poetry, and story, I share what years of observing nature have shown me: that beneath the "noise" of the world, there is a deeper harmony waiting to be noticed.

If something here invites you to pause, breathe, and see the world with fresh eyes, then the work has done what it was meant to do.
